2011 Season


Saturday 22nd May 2011
First XI away at West Herts
Second XI home to Potton Town
Third XI home to Pirton

Sunday 15th May 2011
The club progressed to the regional semi-final of the Village Cup by defeating St Margaretsbury. Long Marston await our visit in the next match on Sunday 29th May.
St Margarete bury (home) 209-8 in their forty overs. Mymms 210-6 in 38.5 overs.


Saturday 14th May 2011
The club has two 100% records following the three league matches on Saturday. The First XI lost to Stevenage whilst the Third XI recorded their third victory after bowling out Hatch End for just 130. The Second XI are looking for their first win of the season following defeat by Baldock.

NMCC 169 (58.4 overs) Stevenage 170-6 (42.2 overs). Mymms won the toss.
Baldock 145-8 (47.4 overs) NMCC 2nd XI 144 (38.1 overs). Baldock won the toss.
Hatch End 130 (41 overs) NMCC 3rd XI 131-1 (34.2 overs). Hatch End won the toss.

Sunday 8th May 2011
Wormley CC were comfortably defeated in the first round of the group 22 match in the Village Cup.
NM CC 282-4 Wormley 124.

Saturday 7th May 2011
The Home Counties Premier league matches got underway with a visit to Hemel Hempstead. Chasing 229, the team fell short at 183. In the SHCL the Second XI drew again this week against Hatfield Hyde at Home Farm. The Third XI maintained their impressive start to the season away at Baldock II winning by 4 wickets.

Hemel Hempstead 228 (60 overs). NMCC 183 (40 overs). Hemel won the toss.
NM-CC II 249-6 (53 overs) Hatfield Hyde 203-7 (47 overs). NMCC won the toss.
Baldock II 126 (42.2 overs) NM-CC III 130-6 (38 overs). NMCC won the toss.
2011 promises to be an exciting year both on and off the pitch. One of the highlights will undoubtedly be our 150 year celebrations.

Matt nominated for Young Leader award
Matt Rathbone has been nominated in the Young Leader of the Year category for the Welwyn Hatfield Borough Sports Awards for 2011.
